CARE International is looking to fill the position of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Coordinator in Timor Leste. The DRR Coordinator has responsibility for providing coordination, implementation and technical support to CARE’S emergency preparedness and response programming in Timor Leste. In addition, the role provides strategic and technical advice to program and project managers and project staff.
To be successful in this role you will have humanitarian aid experience in complex emergencies and natural disasters with experience in food security and livelihoods programming. Your extensive project management experience and high level communication skills including in representation and negotiation with governments and donors will set you apart from others. Your strong decision making skills will be complemented by your experience leading a multi-disciplinary, multi-national team under difficult circumstances.
