CARE Australia is looking to fill the position of Gender Equality Program Manager in Port Vila, Vanuatu. The role contributes to developing the program and securing project funding to ensure the long-term growth of a robust and relevant gender program. The role leads the development and implementation of the Gender Equality program and supports women and girl’s leadership and addressing prevention of gender based violence. The role is responsible for all aspects of managing the program, including managing multiple donor projects, providing oversight of program activities, quality control, monitoring and evaluation, reporting and budget management as well as development of new projects.
Your significant experience and technical expertise in the implementation of transformative gender approaches, complex gender analysis and advocacy related to gender issues will be highly valued. Your high-level strategic thinking and experience in the design, development and implementation of long-term gender programs and complex project interventions will be complemented by your experience in working on programs relating to women and girl’s leadership, prevention of gender based violence, women’s economic empowerment and/or strengthening women’s rights movements. Your demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage and lead including experience in capacity building with high level of communication and interpersonal skills will set you apart from others.
